Flagship program

A real path forward for neuropathy.

If you've been told to "just live with it" — burning, tingling, numbness, or shooting pain in the hands or feet — there's another option. Our structured, multi-modal neuropathy program addresses the underlying causes of nerve dysfunction, drug-free and one-on-one with Dr. Banman.

The 4-step path

How the neuropathy program unfolds.

Scroll through the four sequential phases each patient moves through — from honest evaluation to long-term maintenance.

  1. 1

    Comprehensive Nerve Eval

Dr. Banman maps your specific neuropathy: type, severity, history, sensation testing, and the underlying contributors that have likely been missed. No guesswork — an honest assessment of whether your nerves are still responsive enough to recover.

    Visit 1 · 60 minutes
  2. 2

    Custom Treatment Plan

A written plan built specifically for your neuropathy — which therapies, in what order, at what cadence, with milestones. You leave the second visit knowing exactly what to expect and when re-evaluations happen.

Visit 2 · plan reviewed together
  3. 3

    Multi-Modality Therapy

The active phase: nerve-rebuilder therapy, Class IV laser, electrical muscle stim, and decompression where indicated — stacked together each visit so they support each other. Two to three visits per week for several weeks.

    Active phase · weeks 1–8
  4. 4

    Re-Eval & Maintenance

Formal re-measurement of pain, sensation, balance, and function at fixed intervals. We compare to your baseline and tell you the truth — what's improved, what hasn't. Many patients move to a lighter maintenance cadence to protect their gains.

Where the program fits.

The program

How the neuropathy program works.

Comprehensive evaluation

Dr. Banman evaluates your specific neuropathy — type, severity, history, and likely contributors. Honest assessment first.

Personalized care plan

The plan combines several therapies — typically nerve-rebuilder therapy, laser, EMS, and lifestyle support — with a clear timeline.

Multi-week treatment series

Visits 2–3x weekly for several weeks. Each visit stacks the right therapies for your case.

Tracked progress

Re-evaluations at fixed intervals. We measure: pain, sensation, balance, function. If we're not making progress, we say so.

Common questions

Quick answers.

Will it actually work for me?

It depends on the type, severity, and how long you've had it. Patients with mild-to-moderate neuropathy who haven't sustained complete nerve damage usually see meaningful improvement. We're upfront about expectations during the evaluation.

How long does the program take?

Typically several weeks of multiple visits per week, with progress milestones along the way. Dr. Banman maps the full plan during your initial evaluation.

Does it hurt?

No. The therapies are non-invasive and most patients find them relaxing. You'll often feel sensation changes during a session — usually a sign of nerve activity returning.

Will insurance cover it?

Neuropathy programs are rarely covered by insurance. HSA and FSA accepted; CareCredit available for financing. Payment options →

Do I need to stop my medications?

No — that's between you and your prescribing doctor. Many of our patients find they need less medication as the program progresses, but we don't direct prescription changes.

Why this works

Why our 4-step neuropathy program works.

Most patients arrive at our Lakewood Ranch office having been told their neuropathy is permanent. Our neuropathy program is structured to address the four upstream factors that disrupt nerve function — circulation, inflammation, mechanical compression, and metabolic load — at the same time, instead of one at a time.

Why a multi-modal approach matters in neuropathy treatment

Single-therapy neuropathy treatment often underwhelms because peripheral nerves rarely fail for a single reason — circulation, nerve sheath inflammation, vertebral compression, and blood-sugar load typically all play a part. Our neuropathy program stacks therapies that each support a different one of those drivers, so the cumulative effect is bigger than any one of them on its own.

Can neuropathy be reversed?

It depends on how long the symptoms have been there and how much axonal damage has already occurred. Studies suggest that mild-to-moderate peripheral neuropathy responds well when circulation, nerve health, and lifestyle drivers are addressed together — many patients in our neuropathy program report meaningful gains in sensation, balance, and pain over a multi-week course. Severe long-standing cases improve more slowly and may not fully reverse, and we tell you that honestly during your evaluation.

How long does the neuropathy program take?

Most patients are in the active phase of the neuropathy program for several weeks of two-to-three visits per week, with formal re-evaluations at fixed intervals to track sensation, balance, and pain. After the active phase, many move to a lighter maintenance cadence to protect their gains. The full timeline is mapped during the initial exam so there are no surprises.

Who is a candidate for our neuropathy program?

Strong candidates include patients with diabetic, chemo-induced, idiopathic, or compressive peripheral neuropathy whose nerves still respond to stimulus on initial exam. The neuropathy program is not the right fit for every case, and Dr. Banman will tell you up front if a different referral would serve you better. Earlier is better — the longer a nerve has been deprived of oxygen and signal, the harder it is to bring back online.

How is this different from medication-based neuropathy treatment?

Most prescription neuropathy treatment manages symptoms — gabapentin, pregabalin, duloxetine — without addressing the underlying nerve dysfunction. Our program is drug-free and works alongside (not instead of) your medical team. We don't tell you to stop your medications; many patients work with their prescribing doctor on dose changes as the program progresses.
