Top of the spine. The headaches floor.

Adjustments to the cervical spine restore motion at the seven small vertebrae in the neck. When these segments lock up — usually from desk posture, sleep position, or whiplash — the surrounding nerves and muscles compensate, and you feel it as headaches, jaw tension, or that "can't turn my head" stiffness.

A typical visit

What a routine adjustment looks like.

Quick check-in

How are you feeling today? Anything new since last visit? We always start with a short conversation, never a checklist.

Targeted assessment

Dr. Banman quickly assesses motion, palpation, and any new pain points. Often only takes a couple minutes once we know your case.

The adjustment

Low-amplitude, high-velocity adjustments delivered to the specific spinal segments that need them. Calm, controlled, never forceful.

Move better, leave

Most adjustments take 10–15 minutes total. You'll often feel looser immediately. Recovery is instant — go right back to your day.

Common questions

Quick answers.

Does the adjustment hurt?

No. A proper adjustment is quick and surprisingly gentle. The "pop" you sometimes hear is just gas releasing from the joint — totally harmless and not what makes the adjustment work.

Will I be adjusted on my first visit?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Your first visit focuses on examination and understanding what's going on. We won't adjust until we have a clear picture and have explained the plan.

How often will I need to come in?

It depends entirely on your case. Some patients come a few times to resolve a flare-up. Others maintain monthly. Dr. Banman builds a plan around your goals — never around a sales script.

What's diversified technique?

It's the most-used adjustment style in the U.S. — manual, hands-on, with a quick controlled thrust. Dr. Banman uses diversified plus a range of low-force techniques tailored to the patient.

Will my insurance cover adjustments?

Sometimes — chiropractic is one of the more commonly covered services. We help you check before you book. HSA and FSA funds are widely accepted.

Is chiropractic safe?

Yes — chiropractic care has a strong safety record, and Dr. Banman has 23+ years of clinical experience. We screen for conditions where adjustments aren't appropriate and adapt technique based on age, history, and findings.
