Whole-body vibration.
A vibration platform that engages muscles through high-frequency mechanical vibration. Patients use WBV to activate the deep stabilizers, support circulation, build bone density, and recover faster — in much less time than conventional exercise alone.
- 10–15 mintypical session
- Adjustablefrequency & amplitude
- All ageswelcome

Crank the dial. Watch the figure shake.
From 5 Hz to 60 Hz. Drag the knob — the friend on the platform shakes faster as the frequency climbs. Same range we dial in during your session.
Mid frequency — engage muscle, move blood.
At 15-30 Hz, the body recruits more muscle fibers, circulation increases, and the lymphatic system gets a gentle boost. The most commonly-used range for general wellness sessions.
- 5-15 Hz: relaxation, circulation, balance
- 15-30 Hz: muscle activation, tone
- 30-50 Hz: power & performance
- 50-60 Hz: max protocol — pro athletes
Where WBV fits.
Core & spinal stability
Engages deep stabilizers that hold an adjustment.
Bone density support
Mechanical loading helps bone health when high-impact exercise isn't appropriate.
Balance & fall prevention
Improves proprioception and joint awareness.
Circulation & lymph
Vibration moves fluid; helpful with edema and slow circulation.
Athletic recovery
Athletes use WBV for warm-up and post-training recovery.
Time-efficient movement
For patients with limited mobility or limited time, WBV adds activation safely.
What it feels like.
Step on, find a position
Stand, half-squat, or hold a static pose depending on your goal. We position you safely.
Frequency dialed in
We start low and adjust. You'll feel a gentle tingling — that's the muscle activation kicking in.
10–15 minutes total
Most patients combine WBV with adjustments, decompression, or laser in the same visit.
Step off, feel it later
Many patients feel mild pleasant fatigue afterward — a sign muscles got worked.
Quick answers.
Is WBV safe for everyone?
WBV has a small list of contraindications (pregnancy, recent fractures, certain implants). We screen before your first session and will be honest if it's not appropriate for you.
How is it different from regular exercise?
It's a complement, not a replacement. Vibration recruits muscles passively that you'd otherwise have to consciously engage — efficient for stabilizer training and circulation, but real movement and strength training still matter.
Will it help with weight loss?
WBV alone isn't a weight-loss tool. But it complements a healthy lifestyle — improving circulation and muscle activation can support your other efforts.
Insurance?
WBV isn't typically covered. HSA/FSA accepted. Payment options →
Benefits of whole-body vibration therapy.
Whole-body vibration therapy delivers controlled mechanical oscillation through a platform you stand, sit, or perform light movement on. Studies suggest WBV therapy may help support circulation, muscle activation, and bone health — without the joint impact of traditional exercise. Below is what patients in our Lakewood Ranch office most often ask about.
Improved circulation in just minutes
Many patients report a noticeable warmth in the legs and feet within the first minute on the whole-body vibration platform. Studies suggest the rapid micro-contractions triggered by WBV therapy may help support venous return and peripheral blood flow, which is one reason it pairs well with the neuropathy program and post-decompression recovery.
Bone density and balance support for active aging
Research on whole-body vibration in older adults has explored its role in supporting bone density, balance, and lower-limb strength. WBV therapy is mechanically loading without being high-impact, which makes it accessible for patients who can't easily run, jump, or do heavy resistance work. We're not making bone-density promises — we're saying the literature is encouraging and many of our patients incorporate it as part of a broader wellness routine.
Muscle activation and lymphatic effect
The reflexive muscle contractions triggered by whole-body vibration recruit motor units that often go quiet during sedentary work. Many patients use a 10-minute WBV therapy session before chiropractic care to wake up the supporting musculature, or after a flight or long drive to flush stiffness from the legs.
Does whole-body vibration hurt?
No — the sensation is more buzzy than uncomfortable, and the platform's intensity is fully adjustable. Most patients describe a 10-minute WBV therapy session as energizing rather than tiring. We can dial it down if you're sensitive or new to the platform.
Who should avoid WBV therapy?
Whole-body vibration isn't ideal for patients with acute disc injury, recent fractures, advanced osteoporosis without medical clearance, retinal issues, or pregnancy. We screen for contraindications before your first session — if WBV isn't right for your case we'll point you to an alternative like laser, decompression, or HBOT.
How often should I do whole-body vibration?
Most patients in our wellness rotation use whole-body vibration two to three times per week, often stacked alongside other therapies. Consistency matters more than session length — a regular 10-minute WBV therapy habit tends to produce better results than occasional longer sessions.
